Já aqui falei várias vezes de Jiwoo Seon, uma talentosa fã de LEGO da Coreia do Sul, que ganhou destaque pelos seus modulares e posteriormente por outras construções que mais pareciam obras de arte. Jiwoo cumpriu o sonho de muitos de nós, já que foi convidada a expor na LEGO House, e actualmente trabalha como LEGO Desginer em Billund.

Logicamente o tempo para os seus projectos pessoais é menos agora, mas de vez em quando ainda nos proporciona algumas obras-primas, como este "Blue Whale: The Ocean Within".

A ideia, segundo a própria, era que a baleia se tornasse no próprio oceano, moldando o seu corpo com as formas e cores do mar profundo.

The deep ocean is dark, heavy, and full of pressure.

Yet the blue whale
does not fear that darkness.

It does not fight the deep sea.
It simply moves within it,
swimming in its own rhythm.

Artist’s Note
⠀
The deep ocean
is a place of fear for many—
a world filled with darkness and pressure.
⠀
Yet the blue whale lives there calmly,
never losing its rhythm.
⠀
Perhaps the environment we live in
is not something around us,
but something that grows within us.
⠀
In this work,
I wanted the whale
not simply to live in the ocean,
but to become the ocean itself.
⠀
That is why its body is shaped
with the colors and forms
of the deep sea.
⠀
This whale carries the ocean within it
and does not fear its depths.
⠀
Perhaps it is also
a reflection of ourselves.
⠀
I hope this work helps someone
rediscover their own hope and courage.
⠀
Because we are all
living our lives
with our own oceans within our hearts. 🐋
