Piratas é, segundo muitos dizem, o segundo tema favorito de todos os fãs de LEGO (independentemente de qualquer que seja o primeiro). Gosto muito de ver alguns projectos que têm aparecido na plataforma LEGO Ideas, mas infelizmente nunca as considerei muito porque eram sempre rejeitadas...mas tudo isso mudou com o Pirate Bay, que se tornou num set oficial, o 21322 - Pirates of Barracuda Bay, e que devolveu a esperança a muitos outros projectos desta temática.
Recentemente, surgiu este Armada Port, do fã Brickhammer (que conta já com uma vasta experiência nesta plataforma, com alguns dos seus projectos a atingirem os 10.000 apoios necessários), e que para mim, tem fortes possibilidades de se tornar num set oficial se chegar à fase de review (o que não deverá ser difícil tendo em conta a enorme fanbase deste tema).
Esta construção contém 2980 peças, incluindo 4 minifiguras, um macaco e 3 papagaios, e tem as dimensões de 38 x 38 x 24 (comprimento - largura altura).
Representa uma ilha/rochedo, incluindo um forte, um cais, uma grua para içar as cargas que ali chegam, e deixa-las directamente no armazém ou na casa do governador.
Os detalhes estão muito bem conseguidos, o autor inspirou-se no conjunto 6276 - Eldorado Fortress, fazendo uma mistura arquitectónica e temporal com os soldados imperiais e com a armada espanhola.
Curiosamente, e possivelmente também devido ao cais, vejo ali algumas semelhanças com o 6277 - Imperial Trading Post.
O projecto foi apresentado a 30 de Maio, em pouco mais de 3 dias já conta com quase 1000 votos.

The Idea
Pirates and buccaneers beware!
Too long have you preyed on weak and unprotected merchant ships! Too long have you raided small Caribbean Islands and ports! Too long have you roamed the seven seas without meeting any real resistance! Now you will have to face the justice of the mighty Imperial Armada!
This "Armada Port" is an homage to the beloved 90s Imperial Armada pirates subtheme, which only ever got a single fort like structure! While sets like the "Eldorado Fortress" were clearly based on the British Empire, this all new design uses elements of real life Caribbean architecture to pay tribute to the Spanish Armada while also trying to capture the spirit of Caribbean ports like Havana!

The Build
The build consists of a small Caribbean island complete with a bay, a rocky cliff, a cave, palm trees, parrots and a monkey. Despite the small size of the island, this Caribbean trading post consists of several interesting structures:
- A small wooden peer
- A crane
- A boat
- An open storehouse to store incoming goods
- A small residential house
- and the big Armada fort on the cliffs above the bay!
The fort itself consists of:
- The governor's house, which contains a war room, a storage for treasure, an armoury and bunk beds for the port's garrison,
- and a bastion with cannons and a bell to sound the alarm in case of a pirate attack!
The "Armada Port" consists of 2980 pieces including 3 parrots, a monkey and 4 minifigures:
- The port's governor
- An Armada guard
- An Armada sailor
- and a female merchant!
