Anunciados os vencedores do Concurso LEGO Ideas "Celebrate your favorite Ford Mustang in a beautiful scenery"

This is a Ford Mustang Mach 1, produced between 1971 and 1973.
I love its sporty design, the iconic hood trim and the yellow color scheme with black accents.

The model has opening doors and a boot lid with rear spoiler that can also be opened. It is driving along a beautiful beach with some palm trees. Someone has also built a sandcastle and in the distance you can see a small yacht. The captain is certainly also jealous of the classic sportscar on the coastal road.

2º Classificado:

Most auto enthusiast agree that Henry Ford and Carroll Shelby produced one of the most iconic car in history, the 1967 Ford Shelby Mustang GT500. This is the car that my entry represents. "When you take a horse, and give it the fangs of a reptile"

I chose Monument Valley in Utah as location, because that place represents strength, freedom, and raw power. The power of nature, the power of stallions, and the grand formations across the land. Exactly where such a powerful iconic car can live life at fullest.

In my images I pay tribute to the wild horses, the beautiful scenery, Henry Ford and Carroll Shelby, and the road.

This LEGO project was the most challenging I ever created, because in addition to a completely new car design -where I payed attention to scale, curves, and body ratios-  I also built horses, cobras, road, and landscape. Especially the mountains were challenging, where I used multiple methods of creation to catch the beauty of erosion and sediment.

I hope you enjoy.

"Isn't it dreamy to take a trip to a shallow lake and cruise on it? As you enjoy the blankets of water splashing away at the sides and feeling the nice cool breeze of spring."

After a fun and anxiety filled experience (as well as my computer suffering from an NDE), I am proud to present my diorama of a Ford cruising on a lake! The Ford model presented is the iconic 1965 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 (in blue colors). The lake diorama isn't based on a real location of a lake, and is based off my imagination. I did my best to capture the beauty of nature in this scene and mix in some cool photography effects into the shot.

On a design note, the lake diorama has many elements in it, such as the road, trees, bridge etc. The road was included as a means to balance the lake, while the bridge was added as a framing tool for the shot, and to add some vertical arc to balance the curved shape of the base. Thankfully, the trees helps balance the height of the bridge.

Parts: ~90k
