O perito em camiões Dennis Bosman (nome do Afol no flickr) mostrou-nos a sua mais recente construção, este Scania LK14, que está absolutamente perfeito. Fica aqui uma breve descrição do moc pelo autor:
The first one is a more or less 'simple build in between' model of a Brazilian built Scania LK141. Until 1980 there were otter regulations in terms of weight distribution and that's why a standard LB141 was converted into this type of forward controlled model. It was also sold in Australia and New Zealand but in it's mother country Sweden.
I've bin to Latin America a couple of time and when I spotted one back in 2004 I always wanted to have an orange Scania into my collection. But orange wasn't really available then and first I built the orange Renault back in 2007. In a meanwhile I built the 'original' LB141 two years back, kept the chassis after dismantling that one and modified it last year. The chassis is a little bit longer, has two round fuel tanks, a yellow V8 engine and a lot more specific details. Of course the cab can tilt and the doors can be opened. I spent a lot of time in detailing the chassis. Both the air intake and exhaust leads to the engine, as well as the gear lever.
The model has a lot of metal chrome element like the fuel tanks, rims, steps and bumpers. It's a true working horse but this really is a great add to the model.
A new way of presenting my models at events is putting it on a display. Usually the tables are carpeted in black in which this chassis details a fading (and the tyres are black too).
